Carpenters Training Institute
Form Building: floors, beams, joists, wall columns, stairs. Rough framing: floor framing, wall framing, metal studs, drywall application, roof framing, rough framing for stair work, scaffold building. Exterior Finishing: cornice & outside wall trim, door & window frames and trim, roof coverings. Interior Finishing: jambs, doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, casework, paneling, architectural trims, moldings, casings, appliques, hardware (door, window, cabinet) and stairs. Interior Systems: Installation of drywall, insulation, acoustical ceilings, moveable partitions, access panel systems, fixture work, owner-supplied equipment. LENGTH: 48 Weeks. OJT WAGE: $21.27 starting, with gradual progression to $35.45. Apprentices Actively Enrolled: 253. Apprentices who have graduated: 608. Graduation Rate: 71%. MIN. REQUIREMENTS: Math Qualification Test or score of 15 on the math portion of ACT, Valid Driver's License or proof of reliable transportation, HS Diploma or equivalent. Show More
